Every piece in Hydros was drawn by Dale Forward, a digital artist from Newcastle, New South Wales, who has been making work on the XRP Ledger across a number of collections. The whole set was finished before the collection existed as a mint, and the edition numbers were assigned afterwards.

Each artwork is delivered at 4000 by 4000 pixels, the full resolution the piece was drawn at, not a resized preview.
Minted directly on the XRP Ledger as XLS-20 tokens, with the artwork and the metadata both pinned to IPFS.
Every piece carries its own edition number in its on-chain metadata. That record is permanent.
The artwork is not stored on this website, and it does not depend on this website existing. Each collectible points at its artwork by content address on IPFS, which means the link is derived from the file itself rather than from wherever it happens to be hosted. A second, independent copy of every file is pinned separately, and the collectibles can be repointed at it if they ever need to be.
An IPFS address is a fingerprint of the file. Change one pixel and the address changes, so the link can never quietly point at different artwork later.
The address below was calculated from the artwork files directly, before anything was uploaded, and the storage provider returned exactly the same address. Anyone holding the files can reproduce it.
Hydros are minted as dynamic tokens, so if a storage provider ever stops serving the files, the collectibles can be repointed at the backup copy below without anyone losing anything.
The collectibles themselves reference copies hosted by XRP.cafe, the launchpad they were minted through. Below is a second, independent copy of exactly the same files, pinned separately. Both serve byte-for-byte identical artwork.

The mint is over. All 123 pieces are minted, so the only way to get one now is from a collector who holds it.
The collection minted out in under twenty hours, starting 1 October 2026. There is nothing left to mint, and the mint price no longer means anything.
Hydros trade on XRP.cafe and on any XRP Ledger marketplace that supports XLS-20. Every listing belongs to the collector who made it, at whatever they ask. The collection sets no price.

A 5% royalty is set on each collectible and paid to the issuing account on secondary sales. It was fixed at mint and cannot be changed.

1. What a Hydro is. A Hydro is a digital artwork issued as an XLS-20 token on the XRP Ledger. Buying one is a completed purchase of that artwork. It is not a share, security, unit, debt, equity, partnership interest, collective investment scheme or financial product of any kind, and it confers no interest in any business, entity or account.
2. No expectation of profit. A Hydro carries no entitlement to profits, revenue, capital appreciation, dividends, interest or yield, and none is offered or implied. Buy a Hydro because you want the artwork. Do not buy one expecting a financial return from the efforts of the artist or anyone else.
3. No promised utility. Nothing beyond the artwork itself is promised, now or later. No access, membership, service or benefit forms part of this sale.
4. Artwork and rights. The artwork is by Dale Forward and remains his. Buying a Hydro transfers the token and a personal right to display the artwork you own. It does not transfer copyright and does not grant commercial rights.
5. Risk. Digital collectible prices are volatile and a Hydro may be worth less than you paid, or nothing. Ledger transactions are irreversible. You are responsible for the security of your own wallet and for your own tax position. Nothing on this page is financial, investment, legal or tax advice.
